11/365 January 11, 2011 Snow Storm

We have had snow from sometime overnight and it is still snowing (5:20PM).  Roads are quite slick. However as in all negative things, there is opportunity. Here the opportunity was to take some forest pictures.  


This spot features forest and the Des Plaines river. The river in this vicinity is not pretty during the spring and summer. But fall colors make it interesting and with the snow and ice forming on it during the winter, it can be lovely, as you can see here.  This is not a black and white photo. This is the color of the day and the composite of snow and hibernating trees.
